Creative Kids

Parents, did you know that the NSW Government is helping your cost of living with more than 70 rebates and savings including Creative Kids, which is all about making it easier for school-aged kids (4.5 to 18 years old) to get involved in creative and cultural activities.  Parents, guardians and carers can claim a $100 voucher per year to put towards the cost of lessons and fees with registered providers.

Busy Bees Music is a registered Creative Kids provider.  The Busy Room for kids aged 4.5 years and above and The Rhythm Room is proudly funded by the NSW Government

together with Create NSW and Busy Bees Music. This means you can claim your vouchers for a variety of classes and instrument packs.  Check out all the options here.

Option 1:   Join us in THE BUSY ROOM

Are you looking at ways to playfully connect with your kiddo?

Are you looking for ideas that foster playfulness, creativity, musicality, rhythmicity and awesome fun?

Are you happy to stay home and connect with your kiddo without worrying about all that other stuff that comes with leaving the house?

Are there siblings that would require care if you were to join an in person class?

Our Busy Room class is 'busy' with energy and celebrates the unique joys of your growing kiddo.  With a mix of both parent-child joint activities and child-focused activities, you'll be moving and grooving, singing and dancing giving you just the right mix of fun and learning all rolled into a playful class.

The Busy Room (for children aged 4.5 years and above) is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW and the Creative Kids Program.  One month in The Busy Room is $65.00.   Your Creative Kids voucher can be used to redeem one month of classes and includes an instrument pack that includes:

  • A pair of One-Bell Jingle Sticks 
  • A pair of wooden Rhythm Sticks, great for tapping out early beats
  • A pair of Kindermusik Egg Shakers, perfect for creating soft and loud sounds
  • A pair of Kindermusik Sand Blocks, ideal for early dexterity development
  • A Kindermusik Scarf to boost imaginary play (random colour)

45 minute classes run for 4 weeks on Fridays @ 11.30am.

Option 2:  Join us LIVE in the Rhythm Room

Our Rhythm Room is a fun and engaging class that uses the voice and our body as our primary instrument.  We will engage in rhythmic, musical activities that work on steady beat, movement, coordination, flow, rhythmicity and so, so much more.

Did you know that by the age of 6 or 7, music and language are almost disconnected!!!!!  But…… they actually have an overlapping brain function.   Think about it.  Music IS speech and language. 

In two Stanford studies, researchers demonstrated that people with musical experience found it easier than non-musicians to detect small differences in word syllables. They also discovered that musical training helps the brain work more efficiently in distinguishing split-second differences between rapidly changing sounds that are essential to processing language.

Effective use of music can serve as a primer for learning.    In the Rhythm Room we use our voice, body percussion and simple instruments to learn songs and activities that are fabulous and super fun while connecting music and language and improving your kiddo’s attention, focus and memory skills. 

The Rhythm Room is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW and the Creative Kids Program.  One term in The Rhythm Room is $100 for 8 weeks of classes.  Your Creative Kids voucher can be used to redeem the entire cost of 1 term.

30 minute classes run for 8 weeks on Wednesdays @ 4.30pm, starting Wednesday 28 October.

Option 3:  Use your Creative Kids vouchers for musical purchases.

You can use your Creative Kids voucher to make musical purchases in our shop.   Visit our store HERE You can purchase anything in our CREATIVE KIDS category up to $100.00 value.  You will need to redeem your voucher prior to purchase so take a look in the store, put everything that you want in your cart.  Email us your voucher and we'll send you a code to finalise your purchase.  

You can pick up your order from our studio.   Postage is free for orders over $100 so that's an extra bonus!
